Tournament Rules

TX Double Deuce will follow all TDA rules for tournaments

  1. Players are responsible for always protecting their own hands.

  2. Players must be in their seat by the time all cards have been dealt to have a live hand. “At your seat” is defined by being within reach of your chair.

  3. English only at the table while a hand is in progress.

  4. Floor management calls are final.

  5. When players are all-in & there is no more action, all hands must be tabled face-up before the dealer will continue.

  6. Tournament chips must be visible on the table for the entirety of the tournament. Larger chips must be in front and visible to all players. Removing chips from the table will result in disqualification.

  7. There is an active betting line. All chips that cross the betting line are considered a bet unless stated verbally prior to betting.

  8. Moving chips that are 1.5x to 2x more than the current action will be a raise to 2x the current action. More than 2x will be a raise to that amount. Less than 1.5x will be a call of the current action.

  9. A player exposing their hand with active action may incur a penalty. All players at the table are entitled to see the exposed cards, if requested.

  10. Penalties may be issued for players not abiding by the “one-player-per hand-rule”, discussing the hand, influencing action, throwing cards off the table, abuse, disruptive behavior or similar behavior. All penalties will be at the Tournament Director’s discretion.

  11. The winning hand must table all cards before the pot is awarded, unless that hand is the only live hand remaining. Dealers will assist in reading hands and assigning the correct value to any tabled hand.

  12. Running it more than once or “rabbit hunting” is prohibited in tournaments.

  13. TX Double Deuce management reserves the right to cancel or alter the tournament at any given time.
